Once again, I promise to blog! (This makes the umpteenth time!) But seriously–I’m going to do my best to keep everybody updated as to what your favorite DJ is up to.
March 26 saw the culmination of an enormous effort by my good friend and wedding coordinator Ethan Wilson, and me. Ethan Brought That DJ Guy on board because he wanted the very best in quality DJ entertainment and lighting…and that’s what he received!
Heather and Rob were the perfect Bride and Groom. Their good looks only highlight their awesome personalities inside, and it showed all night long. The fountains in Salisbury provided the perfect venue, and Ethan and I took over from there! As for their wedding expectations–well, let’s just say that they wanted to party, and still be elegant! While they’d never admit to it–I dare say they wanted their guests to leave knowing they had been to the best wedding reception…ever!
The wedding for me began Friday afternoon for set up. 3 hours later, I was all ready to go. Saturday saw a slight shift in plans as we needed to move our table so that the band (yes, they had both!) could be better accommodated. This band…Polish Polka to the max! I’ll be honest–I cringed when they told me they had a polka band. However, they were really really awesome. I’ll never have any in my personal rotation, but they were certainly entertaining.
As for what That DJ Guy provided, here ya go: Premium sound system. This included a speaker on the other side of the facility to help with speeches and the cocktail music…you k now, when the volume had to be kept in check! This way, the volume did not need to be maxed out, and we didn’t have to make our guests closest to us uncomfortable. The coolest thing–this speaker was wireless. We had a speaker 100 feet away and didn’t have to snake a ton of cords to get sound there! This is super cool–especially if you want music in another room.
Music taken care of, now lets talk lighting. Rob and Heather wanted the best of the best. We gave em elegance, sophistication, and at the end–a damn good time! Name in lights designed by Heather and Rob themselves lit up the dance floor. Overhead, they danced under the stars as they were treated to my star field effect. Then hen it came time for dancing–we turned on the party lighting. Complete with lit up trussing in their colors, these lights swept the dance floor all night long. To top it all off, the entire room was bathed in a soothing deep red to match the bridal party dresses.
The end result–one unforgettable wedding party! Enjoy the pictures below, and please feel free to leave comments. You can also check out the professional pictures here via Jen Seay who is, amazing!
